I have a friend that does Avon. She say that she does make some money, but she loves the products so much that she ends up spending her profit on products for herself!LOL Although, she did get $600 worth of Christmas shopping done finishing year for free:)
I think how much you work depends on what you want out of it. my friend just put the word out to her friends that she be selling it, and her clientelle grew from there. However, it you want bigger returns, you will have to put more into hype.
Keep in mind that Avon is a product pushing business, and you have to sort directions and arrange for delivery or pick up.
Depending on what your financial goals are, within are "wave 3" companies that allow you to build a large squad with no inventory or deliveries...they pilfer care of that for you.
Those companies are more focused on income building than product...although most offer incredible products.

Answers: It is worth it to be an Avon Lady but if you want to be successful it does require a good amount of commitment. As mentioned with any sale job, the more you put into it the more you get out of it. If you want to form money you have to treat it as you would any job or busines you would do. If you a moment ago want a hobby and treat it as such that's all it will be. Signing up does not mean money and customers are going to stumble out of the sky into your lap. Avon is quality products at affordable prices, have something for everyone and there are many empire who love it but you do need to actively find them.
You don't want to depend on your family and friends but they are a great place to start. You definately involve to expand beyond them. You can ask them to share your brochures with their family, friends, and coworkers. Talk to the general public you come into contact with every day.coworkers, mom's at the bus stop, neighbors, the society at the local deli where you get your coffee contained by the morning, the tellers where you do your bank etc etc. They call it the power of 3. Talk to 3 people a time about Avon. Collect a 100 no's in 30 days.likelihood are good you'll get more yes's than no's.
You could find out their are 50 reps contained by your area but that does not mean they are actively working their business. If you would approaching an idea of how many reps are contained by your area go to http://avon.com and look up find a rep by fastener code. Type in your zip and a schedule will come up. As I said I wouldnt let that scare you away. My upline sell Avon and sells about $112K a year. She lives roughly speaking 15 miles away but that hasnt stopped me from doing well.
I don't know how many hours I put contained by but I know its alot because I want to be one of Avon's Rich and famous one day. I do it within my "spare" time. I have a regular job and a kinfolk to take care of. The time it take to do the orders and even deliver is minimul. I spend more time plotting my business and looking to expand but can do that in my time when I hold the time. Its the beauty of Avon.

I think it is worth selling Avon. I sell it and really savour it. I spend probably about 4 hours a week on it. It pretty much sells itself. I provide to my my family and friends and have also gone above that. I fetch the brochures wherever I go. I own sold Avon at the drs office, grocery store, my kids' schools. Around my nouns I don't believe there is much competition, the area is spread out satisfactory. I do believe you will enjoy it. Before selling I never wore make up, used any lotions, wore jewelry. I be pretty much plain. Now that I sell it, I try the products outs and feel really suitable about myself. It has boosted my self esteem.
